How does the project work?
We are procuring specific requests for aid to be taken to the Ukraine. These may be acquired from donations in the UK or purchased directly in Europe. They are taken to the Polish/Ukraine border and then transported on through Ukraine to where they are needed.
How do you choose which communities to help?
We are working with local people in the most vulnerable parts of eastern Ukraine. Each delivery of aid is going straight to the frontline of these areas We take local guidance and advice on where to focus this aid.

Why support Aid Ukraine Direct?
We have a tried and tested route to deliver aid, using on the ground resources, to people who are not receiving sufficient aid from other sources and are asking for help. We hope that this situation will change and that the International aid effort will take over, but we will carry on for as long as we are receiving pleas for help. If we receive donations that we don't believe we can deploy effectively we will pass them on to DEC.
