I can't believe that I'm writing this as we gear up for our 26th trip to Ukraine on the 15th of November. A few milestones:
We have delivered now ten 4x4s going one way to the Ukraine army.
We have delivered over 4,000 family food boxes to people in the greatest need.
We have delivered large quantities of Wellington boots and ponchos and head torches to assist soldiers who are known to us who put themselves at great risk.
We have sent probably £35 to £40,000 worth of new clothing: hoodies and t-shirts and sweatshirts.
We have sent a large amount of additional food that's available to the pastors to give to people in need - small items like or tins of sardines or meat or a bag of pasta.
We have given large numbers of individual toys for children for holiday camps or Christmas parties.
We have, of course, given a large amount of secondhand clothes.......5000+ knitted trauma teddies, stars of the show for the elderly or the young!
Trip 26, the last trip of 2024 is shaping up to be a big one. Probably three vans and five cars. All full of the most wonderful things that people have given - a special nod to the Hong Kong community in Southampton who've given us over £2,000 worth of generators that are going on this trip.We look forward to three months off but mid March will come upon us all to soon - Trip 27!
